'Hugo' won the most nominations at the Academy Awards 2012

A film by director Martin Scorsese's 'Hugo' won the most nominations at the Academy Awards 2011. Adventure film adapted from the novel 'The Invention of Hugo Cabret' by Brian Selznick's got 11 nominations.

'Hugo' is a fantasy adventure that happened in the wall of the train station in Paris in the early 1930s. Hugo Cabret is a young boy whose mother has died and lived with his father, a master watchmaker, who took him to see the movie and loved the George Méliès films.

The film 'Hugo' starring by Ben Kingsley, Sacha Baron Cohen, Asa Butterfield, Chloe Grace Moretz, Ray Winstone, Emily Mortimer and Jude Law. The film was released with a 3D format that aired in the U.S. theaters on 23 November 2011 ago.

French romance movie 'The Artist' by director Michel Hazanavicius won 10 nominations. Followed by 'Moneyball', and 'War Horse' film about the friendship of man and horse with 6 nominations. Announcement of winners of the 84th Academy Awards will be held at the Kodak Theatre in Hollywood on 26 February.
