Reported by the Telegraph, Gary Speed was found dead hanging in his house located in Aldford Road, Huntington, Chester, Sunday, November 27, morning local time. Police said there are no suspicious things surrounding the death of 42-year-old man.
"On Sunday, November 27, 2011, at 7:08, Cheshire police were informed that there was an incident at an address in Huntington, Chester," according to the police spokesman.
"The authorities then to a location where a 42-year-old man was found dead. The family had been notified and have confirmed the identity of the man as Gary Speed."
The news of the death of Speed also confirmed by the Football Association of Wales (FAW). They were sorry for the death of the coach.
"Wales Football Association sadly announces the death of the national team coach Gary Speed. We convey our sympathy and condolences to the family," the statement on the official website of the FAW.
"We extend our sympathies and condolences to the family. We ask that everyone respects the family's privacy at this very sad time."
Speed was one the most popular players of his generation, the highlight of his playing career a league title with Leeds United in 1992.
